A quick note to share a link to a piece I wrote for the CDAC Network about the Speed Portal and some of the key lessons we learned while implementing it. The Speed Portal is a portal we designed and built a working prototype of, which enables people responding to disasters to gather information from multiple sources, filter it, and display it on layers on a map to improve their understanding of the context in which they are working.  Enjoy the read!
