Scaling an organisation of any type is tough. I am finding that scaling an organisation which remote is even tougher. One of the teams I manage is soon to be a team of 12 and spread from the Philippines to North America with Nairobi being home the highest number (3) of people in one location. There are benefits to this spread for our ability to support our customers who are also spread across the globe, but it is a challenge for how we change, learn, and identify together.
Over the past 2 years, we’ve tripled our revenue and grown both our product offerings and market share. We’ve also more than doubled our team size with only 4 members of the team being present 2 years ago. This team growth and the fact that it has occurred remotely, I am finding a more significant challenge than I have faced before.
Does anyone have resources on how to do this well?
