We often say we crave focus, but the reality is that we don’t. We want wiggle room – the ability to absolve ourselves of responsibility. Focus is terrifying because it is limiting, it requires us to find a niche, to say no, to be clear on what we want.
It is also terrifying because it can ‘feel’ that we are exposing ourselves and we may need to admit we are not as good as we thought we were.
Yet without focus, success will never happen.
