Remember the fairy tale about the Princess and the pea by Hans Christian Andersen?

It’s works as a fairy tale because it connects a cultural belief (princesses are delicate) with exaggeration (a pea being felt under 20 mattresses).

And yet, we often bring this tale into our work. We spend hours and days focusing on the pea – our idea, the technology, the innovation – when we should just change the mattresses.
