First impressions get all the attention. We put a lot of thought into them, write about them, put them on pedestals, and even give them awards (think about many marketing awards).
And while first impressions have a role to play, if they are not backed up by consistent second, third, fourth, fifth…one-thousandth impressions, the first impression fades. Actually, no, doesn’t just fade, it’s viewed as a fraud.
Consistently showing up, each day, figuring out where to step next is underrated and desperately needed. Attention is easy, consistency is harder.
