In the midst of change and emergencies responses, moments of ‘normalcy’ are craved. In some countries, today is Mother’s Day. A small piece of normal in the chaos of response.

And today, there are countless mothers on the frontline of this response. Not having breakfast in bed, but serving others, fighting to save the world.

To them and to all the other mothers who gave us birth, held us when we cried, celebrated our accomplishments, thank you. Thank you for the gifts you bring to the world.
