Looking Back

by | Dec 11, 2021 | Learning, weekly reflections

There are great people doing amazing things out there. This week is all about inspiration.

First up is Twisted Toys. This is an incredible and slightly disturbing series of short videos bringing home how companies extract data from us and our children. The creative communication of a challenging topic jumped out at me. Have a watch.

Twisted Toys was commissioned by the 5Rights Foundation who advocate to make systemic changes to the digital world to ensure it caters for children and young people, by design and default. There is much we can learn from them.

Lastly, A Mighty Girl has been around for a number of years now and continues to inspire with fabulous resources. They put out a Girl Empowerment Gift Guide which can be handy for birthdays and Christmas – find it here. A Mighty Girl also puts out a great article helping us to have conversations with young girls that is beyond “You’re So Cute”. It’s a great resource.

What inspired you this week?
