It’s an odd day to wake up to. Marked special. Celebrated. Industries built around it. Goal

Setting and dreaming is never so intense. 

And yet today is no different than yesterday or tomorrow. It’s the same distance away from next year. The same opportunities for reflection, planning, and dreaming exist. But today is marked special and so it is. 

Marking something special draws attention to it. Sets it apart. And by doing so creates a space for conversations and many other opportunities. 

Today and this year might be the year, we discover new worlds, new cures for diseases,  new loves, and a profound sense of community. It might also be the year of negative things. The reality will be a mixture. 

And yet, because you are reading this you have a certain amount of privilege. And with this privilege comes the agency to control and create some of the change we seek in the next 365 days. 

Today is like any other day. But today is also the or a present. So in the words of Mary Oliver

Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life
