Patience

patience

It’s not a strong characteristic of mine. I tend to be the impatient kind. It’s one of the reason the ‘lean startup’ methodology works for me – build, measure, learn. Don’t wait for perfect. There is something in the belief that ‘things will evolve and appear in the doing’.

And yet my garden and work in change is teaching me to be patient. To wait. To create space for flourishing to happen in plants and people. Rushing things often makes it worse. And some change takes years or lifetimes.

Sometimes the best thing we can do to encourage change and growth in ourselves and another is wait.

Do you need to ‘wait’ today instead of pushing?
