Every morning, I wake and walk the dog. We tidy the house when we know someone is coming over. We put our thoughts and ideas down on ‘paper’ when we have to present them at meeting.
This morning the dog was elsewhere, so I didn’t need to walk him. I still woke at the same time, the paths we walk on were still present, and yet, I didn’t walk.
External prompts can be useful for getting us over the hump of either procrastination or of prioritising. These prompts can be generated to help us or our teams into action. Used sparingly, they can be another ‘trick’ in the bag of the change maker.
