In our work, in our families, friendships, communities and so on, there are times when we want an ‘other’ to be kinder, to be more productive, to care more, to xxx (you fill in the blank). We are waiting for the ‘other’ to take the first move.
Perhaps it’s worth considering what we would do after they made the move we want them to? What happens then?
And then go and do that. Make the first move. And see what happens. Too often we are waiting for the other and they are waiting for us. We change our culture drip by drip by drip when we don’t wait expecting others to make the first move.
Magic happens when we realise it is always our turn.
