Documenting

documenting

Recently, I’ve been posting a photo a day on Twitter of things we’re doing around the property. Who’s it for? I’ve been asked. Often I respond, ‘It’s for me, myself, a bit of a documentary of what I’ve been up to.” Some people seem to like it, ask questions here and there, but mostly it’s just my relatives connecting. It is lovely. Trying to post each day. Miss one day is ok, but never two day in a row.

‘Who’s it for’ is a great question to regularly ask. It’s ok if it changes too. And there is something good, no wonderful, about documenting daily. It allows you to look back, to reflect, and to ‘see’ the change that has occured. Often it is hard to see it day by day, but after a month, 3 months, or a year. It’s a good reminder.

And yes, we often over estimate what we can achieve in a year and underestimate what we can do in ten, but more often than not, we forget what have achieved in the past 12 months.

What could you document today? Tomorrow? and the next day?
