Sometimes it’s not about us

‘DAD! There’s something wrong with Moose. He’s covered in black spots. Hurry up!’

Moose is our 11 week old golden retriever puppy. His white fur was covered in little seed pods picked up from one of the plants in the garden. He looked like he had freckles. I reassured the kids and went back to what I was doing before.

It was a good reminder of how all of us pick up things as go through life. Sometimes we notice, but often we don’t until after they’ve attached themselves. Or like the seed pods on Moose, sometimes we simply act as the transporter. We carry things to a place they can grow.

Not all things we carry are good or bad. Sometimes it’s not about us.
