What do YOU see?
This is an invitation.
An invitation to a rich, deep conversation about technology, about power, about change.
It is not about templates, security standards, and ISO regulation. It is not about a checklist or a set of rules.
It is about thinking – thinking hard about how we use technology responsibly for the benefit of all, not the few. It is about justice and it is about being human in a complex and highly digital world.
I’m Amos Doornbos and I help individuals, teams, and organisations ask better questions about the human side of digital so they can make better decisions and create a more just world.
Conversations about digital technology are conversations about power, about choice, about shame and about possibility.
Pressing Pause
Over four and half years ago I started writing daily. Every day, without fail, I wrote. But today I pause. Likely for the summer, but perhaps longer.
When we ask better questions, we hear diverse opinions, perspectives, and experiences. Together we paint a richer picture, which enables us to make better decisions. Not right or wrong decisions, just better ones. Better than when we only see one view.
This is an invitation to conversation about digital transformation and organisational change and human behaviour and the context in which we work.
This is an invitation to take a step forward towards a better future, together.
You are the only senior leader that I’ve ever had with whom I could have meaningful, in-depth conversations about the work we do. Our understanding may not have been the same all the time, but I really appreciate your effort and willingness to talk things through with me and listen to my point of view.
