so i sat walking home from the java house, when my blackberry messenger went off. a colleague had just travelled from santo domingo to haiti and was stranded at the airport…he couldn’t get through to people in haiti, but could get through to me…weird. so i got home, jumped on skype, found a couple colleagues in haiti online, told them about the arrival, they sorted a car out and off to the airport to pick him up! how incredible is that!

technology can be a curse, but also can be a gift. while, i sit in nairobi, i can help out with logistics in haiti – who would have thought of that?!? amazing. i can see my mom shaking her head in wonder…. 🙂
