Often we can only take our work and thinking so far. But others can take it further. They can re-imagine it, present it differently, and make it more accessible. They give our ideas and thinking a life we didn’t know it had.
We see this is songs ‘covered’ by another artist. Plays, movies, stories reimagined by another director or theatre group. Books turned into movies or plays. Or pieces of writing creatively presented.
I was delighted to see a blog post I wrote for the CaLP network reimagined as 7 slides. Simple, concise, and in many ways better than what I wrote originally.
The thing is that we do this all the time. And that we don’t have to wait for someone else to do it – we can reimagine our own work, our own approach.
