inspiration and shout outs

Others around are always doing amazing and interesting work. Here’s a few short posts I found inspiring this week.

Everytime you do an internet search you are creating knowledge and wealth for someone else. What if you could also plant trees? And no, trees are the answer to all our planet challenges, but they do help. See here for more and the how.

Beyond Data

A new book coming out that is bound to provoke significant reactions. Trying to move the conversation beyond data protection laws and into a conversation about human rights. It won’t be a light holiday read, but it will an important one that will likely require a few rereads.

Regenerative Conversations

A super short post, yet a powerful thought-provoking punch.

How change happens

Another one from Seth, but an encouraging read for all of us involved in change (which is all of us). I particularly like the parting line – And don’t get bored. 🙂

How about you? What have you read recently that inspired you? Share in the comments below.

Thanks so much for sharing, Amos. I’ll be very much looking forward to reading the new book on data rights and how to support the sector to initiate such power and mindset shift.

What inspired me recently includes phrases and quotes from Hugo Slim’s new book – Solferino 21, particularly his perspective that nowadays people have a physical and a virtual or digital body and that humanitarians need to start considering both bodies when talking about assistance or service to and protection of people. To me, this trend is inevitable and a human right to work towards in the 21st century.
