As I write this, we’re two weeks into 2023 already. Many of us likely made some sort of resolutions at the start of the year, which are now either forgotten or lapsed. It is easy to beat our selves up about this and be upset. Or we can simply start again, today is also the start of a new year. Perhaps we don’t hang a new calendar, but we don’t need to let calendars dictate when a new year begins.
But perhaps the resolutions were not for us, perhaps a new year is not about goals, journeys, or accomplishments. Perhaps a new year is about figuring out the song or dance which you bring to life. The Feast and Fables crew shared this video of Alan Watts recently, which I found encouraging.
