Being open and transparent about what you are learning, your work, and your ‘work/thinking in progress’ is easy when you trust the group with whom you are engaging. But when that trust is broken, when your work is passed off as another’s or your work is used against you, then it is much harder.

It can be hard to continue to be generous and turn suspicious instead. But perhaps these experiences can help us explore why we are or were being open and generous in the first place. Were we seeking fame? Gratitude? or was it about learning and change?
